This Palm Springs mid-century modern home was designed by architect Donald Wexler. Wexler's work is considered amongst the best the mid-century period of home design has to offer.

This residence has been carefully updated to retain Wexler's original intent, while now offering all of today's bells and whistles. The home features great lines, bright sun, a desert-sized swimming pool/spa and a large glass-walled living expanse that opens onto three completely private outdoor entertaining areas and the large outdoor pool.

The first area features a large heated pool and party-sized spa. Here you can relax poolside and soak up spectacular mountain views. The second area contains a fire pit, a barbecue, and views of the home's beautifully landscaped grassy yard. The third area is a walled patio with a professional-grade regulation sized pool table.

Back inside the house is a spectacular living room with classic mid-century modern furnishings, rugs, and paintings. The living area also has a flat-screen television with DirecTV service (including premium channels like HBO and Showtime) and a Blu-ray DVD player. Polished concrete floors (throughout the home) make for an easy transition from pool to inside. A Nest climate-controlled HVAC system ensures cool days and toasty nights.

The home's fully-equipped renovated kitchen features stainless-steel appliances (including a double-drawer Fisher & Paykel dishwasher) and a breakfast/cocktail bar with stools. The home's dining area seats eight and has views of the mountains.

The master bedroom contains its own remodeled full bathroom with an original sunken "Roman" tub and shower. It also has a king-sized bed and its own flat-screen TV with premium satellite service and a Blu-ray DVD system. A sliding glass door opens to a private, contemporary-style breezeway with desert-inspired landscaping.

Another full bathroom services two bedrooms that have queen-sized beds (one with a flat-screen TV). One of these two bedrooms has a sliding glass door leading to the home's exterior enclosed breezeway. There is also a desk area to write ""wish you were here"" emails or postcards.

All three of the bedrooms have built-in closet systems with plenty of room for storage. A separate laundry room with full-size machines, a two-car carport, and a driveway that holds four additional cars add convenience and functionality to the property.

The home is located a few minutes from the aerial tramway, the airport, downtown shops and restaurants, casinos, public and private golf courses, the Living Desert zoo and botanical garden, and is a great locale to use as a base of operations during BNP tennis, Coachella Music Festivals, White Party, Modernism Week, or any other desert-specific event. The desert's massive outlet mall is less than 30 minutes from your front door. And famed Joshua Tree National Park (not to be missed) is a 45-minute drive.
