Description

Designed by modernist architect Jack Meiselman, and built in 1960, the integrity of this indoor / outdoor desert-friendly design has been impressively preserved.
The thoughtful updates of this private two bedroom home showcase the post-and-beam construction, tongue and groove ceilings, generous amounts of architecturally sculpted concrete, and of course, wide expanses of glass that connect you to the pool and spa. With sweeping views of the San Jacinto Mountains, the orientation of the pool area allows for maximum sun exposure, or take advantage of the shade provided by the large covered patio.
One of the unique design features of a Meiselman floorplan is the separate space configuration of bedrooms, allowing the master bedroom to be at the opposite end of the house from the guest room to maximize privacy. The Master Suite has a queen bed, private en-suite bathroom with double shower heads, walk-in closet, private patio, and a 32"" TV. The additional guest bedroom is furnished with a 32"" TV, offering a queen bed, quality linens, ample closet space, and a wonderful private patio.
The galley kitchen features streamlined cabinets, beautiful countertops and appliances, and opens to the dining / living / great room. The great room features the vaulted tongue and groove ceiling, 55"" flat screen TV and Sonos surround sound with iPad controls.
A wonderful covered area on the pool deck overlooks the inviting pool with plenty of poolside furniture creating the indoor-outdoor living environment Palm Springs is famous for. The yard features citrus trees to be enjoyed in season.
The home is conveniently located 5 minutes from the airport, downtown shops & restaurants, public and private golf courses, art galleries and nightlife. Palm Springs area activities include world class golf, swimming, hiking, botanical gardens, desert landscape parks, water theme park, aerial tram, tennis, gyms, horseback riding and shopping (high-end outlet mall nearby).
Also enjoy nearby Joshua Tree National Monument (an extraordinary national park set in the desert). Theme parks within two hour drive include Disneyland (Anaheim) and Sea World (San Diego), as well as a Wet n' Wild Waterpark in Palm Springs.
International guests will find Palm Springs to be an ideal ""home base"" for day trip excursions to Southern California.
